ELW_® is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. Any personally identifiable information about you will be treated in accordance with this policy.

Information Usage
ELW Inc. collects information such as name, address, email address, fax, social insurance numbers and photos as needed.

Such information is collected and used for Esprit magazine, newsletters, conventions, resources, online and print newsletters, website, promotional material both within ELW and in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC).

Your personal information may be used by ELW/ELCIC staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers will be briefed about appropriate use, retention and protection of personal information.

ELW does not sell or share contact information or its mailing list with any outside organization or company. However, ELW and the offices of the ELCIC work closely together sharing contact information freely between them. Consent is obtained before using personal information for any other purpose. We will not collect, use or disclose information without your consent, except where authorized by law.

Safeguarding Information
ELW staff maintains personal information in locked filing cabinets and password protected computers. ELW operates as a network with Synodical and Conference ELWs. Volunteers in leadership positions who maintain contact lists at the Synodical and Conference levels will ensure that information is kept in a secure format. Information will be retained for as long as is purposefully necessary.

Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal information at anytime and request changes. It is your right to ask to have your personal information removed from any or all ELW/ELCIC lists.
